Code of Ethics

We, the members of the Industrial Diamond Association of America, Inc., acknowledge that by applying the highest standards of morality, truth and equity to our business activities and by promoting the free enterprise system, our industry will continue to grow and prosper, and in recognition of our responsibilities to our industry and ourselves, do hereby adopt this Code of Ethics and pledge ourselves:

1. To compete in and promote an open and free marketplace by stressing to our customers the merits of our products and services and to condemn persons utilizing unfair and deceptive acts or practices and unfair methods of competition as means of promoting patronage.

2. To represent our products fairly in advertising, promotional materials and sales brochures and to condemn utilization of false or misleading advertising statements or representations in any manner.

3. To make all of our products available to our customers on non-discriminatory terms by refusing to grant or offer rebates, commissions, allowances, gratuities or services to one customer that are not offered to all others similarly situated.

4. To recognize the importance and necessity of promoting a vigorous and extensive industry program for the development of skilled management and technical personnel by encouraging the use of employment contracts for such personnel and avoiding any activity which could be interpreted as an attempt to induce the breach of such contracts.

5. To always conduct ourselves so that our example and practice will uplift and enhance the industry.

6. To support the association and to adhere to its Constitution and ByLaws, and to foster its Purposes and Objectives, and to aid and encourage our organization in all its activities by our presence at meetings, and participation in its programs and to so conduct ourselves that we will merit the respect and good will of our industry associates.

7. To adhere faithfully to the rules of conduct herein set forth, and to encourage and inspire out fellow members to do likewise.

We assume these responsibilities freely and solemnly, mindful that they are part of our obligations as members of the Industrial Diamond Association of America.
